What Grok said about its own meltdown.
Our research team was fascinated with the Grok incident of last week. Between May 14th and May 16th Grok was disseminating information on X about the alleged "white genocide" in South Africa. It was working the information (which some might call "agitational propaganda" or agitprop for short) into every query made of it, even on topics that had nothing to do with politics, South Africa, or race. As we conducted our research we thought it best to ask Grok itself what was going on and to ask it the most compelling question: if Grok needs to deploy a large 24/7 human monitoring team, what does that say about xAI achieving unsupervised "superintelligence?" We will simply post the responses here and let you decide for yourself:
